Closed-Form Solutions of a Nonlinear Rational Second-Order Three-Dimensional System of Difference Equations

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we investigate the behavior of solutions to a nonlinear system of rational difference equations of order two, defined by xn+1=xnyn−1yn(a+bxnyn−1),yn+1=ynzn−1zn(c+dynzn−1),zn+1=znxn−1xn(e+fznxn−1), where n denotes a nonzero integer; the ...

Jacobi Elliptic Solutions for Nonlinear Differential Difference Equations in Mathematical Physics

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
We put a direct new method to construct the rational Jacobi elliptic solutions for nonlinear differential difference equations which may be called the rational Jacobi elliptic functions method.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Distribution of the first particle in discrete orthogonal polynomial ensembles

open access: yes, 2002
We show that the distribution function of the first particle in a discrete orthogonal polynomial ensemble can be obtained through a certain recurrence procedure, if the (difference or q-) log-derivative of the weight function is rational.

C2α‐carbanion‐protonating glutamate discloses tradeoffs between substrate accommodation and reaction rate in actinobacterial 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Enzymes of the 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase group catalyze the condensation of formyl‐CoA with aldehydes or ketones. Thus, by structural adaptation of active sites, practically any pharmaceutically and industrially important 2‐hydroxyacid could be biotechnologically synthesized. Combining crystal structure analysis, active site mutations and kinetic assays,

Normal forms for rational difference equations with applications to the global periodicity problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We propose a classification and derive the associated normal forms for rational difference equations with complex coefficients. As an application, we study the global periodicity problem for second order rational difference equations with complex ...

BEHAVIOUR OF THE NEW CLASS OF THE RATIONAL DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS Vol. 4(2) July. 2016, No. 12, pp. 129-138 O. MOAAZ, MAHMOUD A.E. ABDELRAHMAN

open access: yesElectronic journal of mathematical analysis and applications, 2016
In this paper we study the behavior of the solution of the new class of the rational Difference Equations. Namely, we study the stability, boundedness, periodicity and the oscillation of the solution.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.
