First Results with a new Method for calculating 2-loop Box-Functions

open access: yes, 1998
We describe a first attempt to calculate scalar 2-loop box-functions with arbitrary internal masses, applying a novel method proposed in hep-ph/9407234. Four of the eight integrals are accessible to integration by means of the residue theorem, leaving a ...

Darboux polynomials and rational first integrals of the generalized Lorenz systems

open access: yesBulletin des Sciences Mathématiques, 2012
By the generalized Lorenz system is meant the system of differential equations \[ (GL) \;\dot x = a (y - x ),\dot y = b x + c y - x z,\dot z = d z + x y \;\mathrm {on} \;{\mathbb R}^3, \] where \(a\), \(b\), \(c\), and \(d\) are real parameters. It unifies the original Lorenz system and the Chen and Lü systems.

The first integrals and rational solutions of some fourth-order differential equations

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Physics and Mathematics Series, 2020
The object of this research is fourth-order differential equations. The aim of the research is to study the analytical properties of the solutions of these differential equations. The general form of the considered equations is indicated, and also the choice of the research object is justified.

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Abundant Explicit and Exact Solutions for the Variable Coefficient mKdV Equations

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
This paper is concerned with the variable coefficients mKdV (VC-mKdV) equation. First, through some transformation we convert VC-mKdV equation into the constant coefficient mKdV equation.

Wave patterns and dynamical properties of optical propagation by a higher order nonlinear Schrödinger equation

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
It is of great significance to explore the physical properties of optical propagation, thus the scholars are keen on the physical essence represented by classical mathematical physics equations.

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

A geometric construction of panel-regular lattices in buildings of types ~A_2 and ~C_2

open access: yes, 2010
Using Singer polygons, we construct locally finite affine buildings of types ~A_2 and ~C_2 which admit uniform lattices acting regularly on panels.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.
