3D Reconstrution with Rational Function Model

Journal of the Indian Society of Remote Sensing, 2008
Rational Function Model (RFM) is the alternate sensor Model to the rigorous sensor model that allows end user to perform sensor-independent photogrammetric processing. Nowadays, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) digital photogrammetric work stations have incorporated RFM as a method for image restitution.

A Plumbline Constraint for the Rational Function Lens Distortion Model

Procedings of the British Machine Vision Conference 2005, 2005
The recently introduced Rational Function (RF) model permits a linear solution of epipolar geometry and lens distortion from image correspondences for a very general class of lenses. In this paper we show that the model also permits a very elegant form of the plumbline constraint which allows uncalibrated correction of lens distortion from a single ...

A Rational Function Lens Distortion Model for General Cameras

2005 IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR'05), 2005
We introduce a new rational function (RF) model for radial lens distortion in wide-angle and catadioptric lenses, which allows the simultaneous linear estimation of motion and lens geometry from two uncalibrated views of a 3D scene. In contrast to existing models which admit such linear estimates, the new model is not specialized to any particular lens

Robust rational function approximation algorithm for model generation

Proceedings of the 36th annual ACM/IEEE Design Automation Conference, 1999
The problem of computing rational function approximations to tabulated frequency data is of paramount importance in the modeling arena. In this paper, we present a method for generating a state space model from tabular data in the frequency domain that solves some of the numerical difficulties associated with the traditional fitting techniques used in ...

Optimal model reduction for non-rational functions

2015 European Control Conference (ECC), 2015
We survey several algorithm for H2 optimal model reduction with a particular emphasis on the case of approximating irrational functions. Irrational transfer functions arise for systems modeled by partial differential equations or delay differential equations.

Modeling of a Resistive Voltage Divider by Rational Functions: Uncertainty Evaluation

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2021
This article describes the modeling of a resistive voltage divider (RVD) by rational functions using the vector fitting (VF) tool. The method is applied to ratio and phase displacement measurements over a wide frequency range. A Monte Carlo simulation-based sensitivity analysis was carried out to properly estimate the model uncertainty.

Modelling Radial Basis Functions with Rational Logic Rules

2008
Connectionist systems such as Radial Basis Function Neural Networks and similar architectures are commonly applied to solve problems of learning relations from available examples. To overcome their limits in clarity of representation, they are often interfaced with symbolic rule-based systems, provided that the information they have memorized can be ...
