The surrounding landscape affects ecosystem multifunctionality in oilseed rape fields

Our findings suggest that diverse landscapes are required to ensure the simultaneous delivery of a bundle of ecosystem functions in oilseed rape fields. Altogether, our findings indicate that landscape management should not only promote different semi‐natural elements but also should target limitation of dilution effects.

Increased proportion of exclusion netting in the landscape affects pest damage in unnetted apple orchards

This study is the first to reveal that nets significantly impact pest dynamics on the scale of agricultural landscapes. We recommend landscape‐scale coordination in the deployment of nets, along with additional protective measures to mitigate their unintended effects on pests at the local and landscape scales.

It may also be listed as a “species likely to cause damage” (ESOD – the acronym in French), for public health reasons among others.
