Addressing unanswered questions about the shift of strategy approach: A multi‐study investigation of approach variations, repeated interviews and innocent versus guilty responses

open access: yesLegal and Criminological Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction The shift‐of‐strategy (SoS) approach aims to obtain concealed information from semi‐cooperative suspects by prompting them to shift towards more forthcoming counter‐interrogation strategies. While previous studies on the approach have shown promising results, important questions remain about how it functions in diverse contexts ...

“They need to get a new program”: Experiential frictions with the gender of care in the 12 step program for ethnically Mexican women

open access: yesMedical Anthropology Quarterly, EarlyView.
Abstract Using gender as an analytic, I parse out how the historical gendered, classed, and racialized roots of the 12 Step Program remain present in its therapeutic model, even in global contexts beyond its original formulation. These foundations continue to shape therapeutic logics and experience within the Program, in positive and negative ways.

Superspace formulation with a new and extended BRST

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2019
Superspace formulation is an elegant proposal to deal with BRST symmetries and Ward identities of a gauge theory. A new effective SU(N) QCD in a novel quadratic gauge has recently been introduced which throws light on interesting non perturbative ...

Accounting for Cross‐Country Differences in Output Per Worker: A Sectoral CES Perspective

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The standard macroeconomic literature suggests that richer countries employ more productive technologies. Removing technological disparities between countries would hence narrow the substantial variation in output per worker across countries.

Sul mito della “partecipazione cittadina” a Barcellona Dall’urbanismo franchista al “modello” democratico [PDF]

open access: yeslo Squaderno, 2012
Vivevo a Barcellona già da un paio d’anni quando sentii parlare per la prima volta del “modello Barcellona”. La nuova città in cui abitavo non era semplicemente pianificata: si era trasformata in un modello, in un ideale a cui tendere; un esempio di ...

Predicting Learning: Understanding the Role of Executive Functions in Children's Belief Revision Using Bayesian Models

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, EarlyView.
Abstract Recent studies suggest that learners who are asked to predict the outcome of an event learn more than learners who are asked to evaluate it retrospectively or not at all. One possible explanation for this “prediction boost” is that it helps learners engage metacognitive reasoning skills that may not be spontaneously leveraged, especially for ...

Transfusion intensity in the ICU: Reasons and triggers

open access: yesTransfusion, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The reasons and physiological triggers for blood transfusion in critically ill patients are not well characterized. Beyond hemoglobin levels, hemodynamic instability is frequently cited, but its role across clinical contexts remains unclear.

Undetectable Hydroxyurea Levels in the Majority of Sickle Cell Disease Patients, Especially in Young Children

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 101, Issue 9, Page 2297-2310, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Hydroxyurea (HU) is the most widely prescribed disease‐modifying treatment in sickle cell disease (SCD), though treatment responses vary due to metabolism and adherence. We examined HU blood levels and treatment response in patients with homozygous sickle cell disease (HbSS).

Search for Abelian dominance in the effective SO(N) theory

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2019
Recently a new quadratic gauge has been introduced in the SU(N) QCD in which interesting non perturbative characteristics of QCD has been brought to light.
