The influence of sediment provenance and depositional setting on chlorite formation in the Agat Formation. Abstract Chlorite minerals, mainly in the form of clay coats, play a critical role in determining the reservoir quality of siliciclastic rocks. They can positively influence reservoir quality by preserving porosity during deep burial, but they can

Tracing Deep Carbon Cycling by Zinc Isotopes in a Peralkaline‐Carbonatite Suite
Abstract Sedimentary carbonates are known to be carried into the deep mantle by subducted slabs, and studies on mantle‐derived magmas have attempted to trace the recycled carbonate in their mantle source. However, the final depth of storage of recycled carbonate and the role of recycled carbonate in the partial melting of mantle remain controversial ...

Lawsonite and Garnet Oxygen Isotope Record of Fluid‐Rock Interaction During Subduction
Abstract During the subduction of an oceanic plate, fluids are released from metabasaltic crust, metasediment, and serpentinite under high‐pressure/low‐temperature conditions. Although some fluids may eventually leave the slab, some participate in metamorphic reactions within the slab during subduction and exhumation.

Abstract The Western Gneiss Region (WGR) is a Precambrian basement domain in the Scandinavian Caledonides and one of the world's largest high‐ and ultrahigh‐pressure terranes. The south–central WGR underwent regional eclogite facies metamorphism 415–400 Ma ago when Baltica subducted beneath Laurentia, during the Scandian orogeny.
