Numerical Analysis and Applications, 20112D and 3D turbulent convectional flows of viscous and incompressible fluids heated from below in a rectangular parallelepiped are numerically simulated. The horizontal boundaries are stress-free in 3D simulation and stress-free or rigid in 2D simulation.
