Inferring the Magnetic Field from the Rayleigh–Taylor Instability
By extending the potential approach of Layzer and Goncharov to the magnetohydrodynamics equations, we find the nonlinear solutions to the single-mode Rayleigh–Taylor instability subjected to uniform magnetic fields at various inclinations. This allows us

Growin: Modeling ionospheric instability growth rates
Seasonal and zonal climatologies of Rayleigh–Taylor growth rates under geomagnetically quiet conditions during solar minimum and solar moderate conditions as a function of local time and altitude are calculated using open source data and software.

Rayleigh-Taylor instability in binary condensates [PDF]
We propose a scheme to initiate and examine Rayleigh-Taylor instability in the two species Bose-Einstein condensates. We identify $^{85}$Rb-$^{87}$Rb mixture as an excellent candidate to observe it experimentally. The instability is initiated by tuning the $^{85}$Rb-$^{85}$Rb interaction through magnetic Feshbach resonance.

Multi-instrumental analysis of the day-to-day variability of equatorial plasma bubbles
This paper presents a multi-instrument observational analysis of the equatorial plasma bubbles (EPBs) variation over the American sector during a geomagnetically quiet time period of 07–10 December 2019.

NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF RAYLEIGH-TAYLOR INSTABILITY [PDF]
Rayleigh-Taylor (RT) instability has a growing importance in many fields including aircraft industry and astrophysics. The development and the growth of RT instability were investigated using sinusoidal disturbances with different wavelength at the ...

Fuel–coolant interaction (FCI) has a pivotal role in the development of core disruptive accident in a sodium-cooled fast reactor. The drastic deformation of multiphase interface in the FCI is hard to deal with in the traditional grid method.

Unravelling the Rayleigh–Taylor instability by stabilization [PDF]
AbstractA recently proposed stabilization mechanism for the Rayleigh–Taylor instability, using magnetic fluids and azimuthally rotating magnetic fields, is experimentally investigated in a cylindrical geometry and compared with the theoretical model.

Rayleigh-Taylor instability in a sedimenting suspension [PDF]
The temporal evolution of an interface between glycerin and a glycerin-sand suspension of small packing fraction (obtained using the hindered settling phenomenon) driven by gravity is experimentally investigated. The growth rates for the different wave numbers characterizing the developing front are determined by means of a Fourier analysis.
