A fast and accurate Rayleigh fading simulator

This paper presents a simulator that efficiently generates correlated complex Gaussian variates with a power spectral density as described by Jakes (Jakes, Jr., 1974). The simulator consists of a fixed IIR filter followed by a variable polyphase interpolator, to accommodate different Doppler rates.

Acquisition of spread spectrum signals in Rayleigh fading

We analyze the acquisition of direct-sequence-spread-spectrum signals by an antenna array of M elements in a flat Rayleigh fading environment subject to additive stationary temporally-uncorrelated zero-mean Gaussian interference. The observations are complex baseband sampled signal vectors received at the array elements at discrete time instants.

Optimized Selection Diversity for Rayleigh Fading Channels

This paper considers the choice of the number of diversity branches for minimizing the bit error rate of a selection diversity system using noncoherent binary frequency-shift keying modulation for transmission over a Rayleigh fading Gaussian channel. Statistical simulation models for Rayleigh and Rician fading
