A Novel FRFT Beamformer for Rayleigh Faded Channels
Wireless Personal Communications, 2008A method of optimal beamforming for flat Rayleigh faded channels using the Fractional Fourier Transform (FRFT) is considered in this paper. It has been demonstrated through simulations that optimal beamforming with FRFT allows smaller mean-square errors in restoring signals degraded with linear time-or frequency variant distortions and Additive White ...

Bayesian MLSD for multipath Rayleigh fading channels
2008 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2008We propose a tree-search based Bayesian approach to blind maximum likelihood sequence detection (MLSD) of convolutionally encoded data transmitted over a multipath Rayleigh fading channel. In deriving the path metric for searching the channel-code tree, the proposed algorithm incorporates a forgetting factor matched to the time variation of the channel

Construction of Polar Codes in Rayleigh Fading Channel
IEEE Communications Letters, 2019In this letter, we investigate the effective construction method of the polar codes in the Rayleigh fading channel (RFC) based on the Gaussian approximation (GA) algorithm. For the RFC, two algorithms are proposed to find the equivalent binary input AWGN channel (BIAWGNC).

Co-channel interference reduction in Rayleigh fading channels
Digital Signal Processing, 2006Abstract Interference can be a significant problem in loosely organized networks such as ad-hoc radio networks. One technique for dealing with interference is to attempt joint detection of all signals arriving at a node. Iterative algorithms based on the turbo-principle yield significant performance improvements when applied to this problem.

Multiuser scheduling over rayleigh fading channels
GLOBECOM '03. IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37489), 2004Forthcoming wideband wireless systems are supposed to support services with loose delay requirements, which allows for scheduling of data. In this work we investigate fast transmission scheduling for downlink CDMA over a Rayleigh fading channel.

Multilevel modulation codes for rayleigh fading channels
1991In this paper, new multilevel modulation codes with good error rate performance on the Rayleigh fading channel are presented. It has been demonstrated that the error performance of a multilevel block code is dominated by the minimum Hamming distance of the component codes when ideal interleaving is applied.

Analysis of Cooperative TDMA in Rayleigh Fading Channels
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2013The time-division-multiple-access-based (TDMA) protocol has been widely utilized as a reliable media access control (MAC) mechanism. By allocating each user a dedicated time slot, a given TDMA user transmits its packets in its exclusively assigned time slots, whereas other users are in idle mode (not transmitting). However, in this paper, a cooperative

Probability distributions of SIR in a Rayleigh fading channel
AFRICON 2015, 2015In fading channel when the interfere signal is a random variable, the resulting signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) or signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) is also random and its distribution has to be known for a correct description of the receiver.

Wireless QoS analysis for a Rayleigh fading channel
ICC '98. 1998 IEEE International Conference on Communications. Conference Record. Affiliated with SUPERCOMM'98 (Cat. No.98CH36220), 2002We present an analysis of the relationship between the two link-level QoS (quality of service) parameters (delay and error rate) and the motion speed of a user in a wireless packet network environment. The analysis is based on: (1) a wireless channel simulation using a time-correlated Rayleigh fading model and (2) a physical layer model which complies ...

Design of polar codes for Rayleigh fading channel
2015 International Symposium on Wireless Communication Systems (ISWCS), 2015A simple method for construction of polar codes for Rayleigh fading channel is presented. The subchannels induced by the polarizing transformation are modeled as multipath fading channels, and their diversity order and noise variance are tracked.
