The article presents a benchmark study using state‐of‐the‐art high‐level ab initio methodologies to predict infrared and Raman frequencies of subnanometric metal clusters. The importance of characterizing conical intersections in their potential energy landscapes is also highlighted, with the associated (Pseudo‐)Jahn–Teller distortions of cluster ...

Evaluation of Some Parameterization Models for Photon Cross Sections in Quantitative Dual‐Energy CT
ABSTRACT Using multienergy CT with energy‐dispersive detectors and dual‐energy CT (DECT), traditional CT images can be combined to extract material parameters such as electron density (ρe) and effective atomic number (Zeff). This study evaluates parameterizations for deriving ρe and Zeff from CT numbers (HU) to generate new CT images.

ABSTRACT The internal pressure fluctuations caused by vibration in oil‐immersed electrical equipment can initiate bubbles within narrow oil gaps, reducing the electrical strength of equipment and giving rise to the problem of abnormal gas production in oil‐immersed equipment.

Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Plants are shifting their flowering phenology in response to climate change, but trends differ between species and communities. Functional traits can largely explain how different species respond to climate change by shifting their phenology, and can therefore help ...
