In Situ Amine Formation to Modulate MOF‐Derived PdIn N‐Doped Carbon Catalysts
An amine‐assisted approach converts PdIn‐MOF into PdIn intermetallic nanoparticles embedded in N‐doped carbon. In situ‐generated amines trigger early Pd nucleation, producing smaller PdIn domains than direct pyrolysis. Amine sterics and basicity tune composition and particle size, while solvent and amine co‐determine textural features.

Finite element simulations of surface effect on Rayleigh waves
Rayleigh waves influenced by surface effect are investigated by using finite element methods, in which eigenfrequency analysis are performed on a model composed of a half-space covered by the surface effect dominated domain.

Crack Repair in Hydroxyapatite Bioceramics Using an Ultraviolet Ultrafast Laser
The study proposes an ultrafast ultraviolet laser approach to repair hidden tooth cracks, which has been preliminarily validated on HAP. Moreover, this technique aims to strengthen the native enamel structure rather than introducing a foreign filling material.

Quasi Two-dimensional Transfer of Elastic Waves
A theory for multiple scattering of elastic waves is presented in a random medium bounded by two ideal free surfaces, whose horizontal size is infinite and whose transverse size is smaller than the mean free path of the waves.

Resonance Expansions and Rayleigh Waves [PDF]
The author studies expansions of solutions of the wave equation in a compact set with initial data supported in the same set. He considers the general framework of the ``black box scattering'' introduced by Sjöstrand and Zworski. In particular, this includes the classical case of scattering by obstacle with Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions and ...
