Dual‐Emission Switching in a Mn(II)‐Based Hybrid Bromide via Water Coordination: Synthesis, Structure, and Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 4, 27 January 2026.
This study reports the synthesis, structure, and optical properties of (pr‐ted)2[MnBr4], a luminescent manganese (II) hybrid halide. It shows green emission under UV and transforms into a red‐emitting hydrated phase with humidity, reversible by heat or vacuum. Structural, photophysical, and theoretical analyses confirm the mechanism.

Behavior of Yb3+ and Er3+ during Heat Treatment in Oxyfluoride Glass Ceramics

open access: yesJournal of Nanomaterials, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
The effects of alumina content and heat treatment on upconversion properties of codoped (ErF3‐YbF3) oxyfluoride glass ceramics were investigated. Results showed that alumina content had an effect on phase separation and viscosity of the glass. Due to the high viscosity of low alumina content glass, the phase separated areas were smaller in these ...

Detection of Microbial Contaminants in Water: Conventional Methods, Pragmatic Alternatives, and Nanosensing Techniques

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 14, Issue 6, December 2025.
Conventional culture and immunological methods of detecting bacterial water contaminants have some limitations. There are alternative pragmatic methods which are more efficient and faster in the detection of bacteria in water, especially nanosensors. ABSTRACT The complexities of microbial detection and conventional enumeration necessitates the adoption

Time‐Resolved Investigation of the Molecular Chemiluminescence SrI(A2∏1/2,3,2,B2∑+→X2∑+) and the Atomic Resonance Fluorescence Sr(53P1→51S0) Following The Pulsed Dye Laser Generation Of Sr(53PJ) in the Presence of CF3I

open access: yesLaser Chemistry, Volume 16, Issue 2, Page 121-138, 1995., 1995
A time‐resolved investigation is presented of the electronic energy distribution in SrI following the collision of the optically metastable strontium atom, Sr [5s5p(3PJ)], with the molecule CF3I. Sr[5s5p(3PJ)], 1.807 eV above its 5s2(1S0) electronic ground state, was generated by pulsed dye‐laser excitation of ground state strontium vapour to the Sr ...

Vulnerability of tropical fish communities across depth in the central Indian Ocean

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 39, Issue 6, December 2025.
Abstract Coral reefs and their fish communities below scuba diving depth (>30 m), in mesophotic coral ecosystems (MCEs) (∼30–150 m), in rariphotic (150–300 m), and in upper bathyal waters (300–500 m) are often underexplored, especially in the Indian Ocean.

Direct Measurements of Removal Rates of CHF(X˜1A′(0,1,0)) by Simple Alkenes

open access: yesLaser Chemistry, Volume 12, Issue 1-2, Page 43-52, 1992., 1991
Direct measurements of the rate constants for collisional removal of CHF(X˜1A′(0,1,0)) by argon (Ar), ethylene (C2H4), propene (C3H6), 1‐butene (1‐C4H8), iso‐butene (i‐C4H8), 1,3‐butadiene (C4H6), are reported. CHF(X˜1A′(0,1,0)) was prepared by IRMPD of precursor CH2F2. Fluence independence removal rate constants by Ar, ethylene and propene are: 0.0045,

Symplastic and apoplastic pathways for local distribution of silicon in rice leaves

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 247, Issue 3, Page 1280-1289, August 2025.
Summary Silicon (Si) is highly accumulated in both the leaf blade and sheath of rice, but the transporter mediating the local distribution of Si between these two tissues remains unidentified. We investigated the role of an aquaporin, OsLsi6, in the local distribution of Si in rice leaves.

Middle Pleistocene revelations: unravelling taphonomic processes in mammals including Mesotherium cristatum (Mesotheriidae, Notoungulata), Corralito Site, Córdoba Province, Argentina

open access: yesPalaeontology, Volume 68, Issue 4, July/August 2025.
Abstract Taphonomic studies of Cenozoic mammals are scarce. We report a study of the taphonomy of the Corralito site (Middle Pleistocene to Holocene), Córdoba Province, Argentina, which documents the last population of the South American native ungulate typotherid Mesotherium cristatum. We discovered two specimens of M.
