NiFe‐NO3 Layered Double Hydroxide as a Novel Anode for Sodium Ion Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2025.
This study demonstrates, for the first time, the effectiveness of using LDH as an anodic material in SIB. The material is stable and show high specific capacity, the reaction mechanism has been thoroughly investigated and comprehensively described and involves a phase change reaction followed by sodium intercalation.

A fracture-mechanics model for debonding of external fibre reinforced polymer plates on reinforced concrete beams

open access: yes, 2006
A Fracture-mechanics model for debonding of external fibre reinforced polymer plates on reinforced concrete beams is presented. The conventional methods of concrete-FRP interface analysis use finite element models, which require details of unknown and ...

The spread of non‐native species

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The global redistribution of species through human agency is one of the defining ecological signatures of the Anthropocene, with biological invasions reshaping biodiversity patterns, ecosystem processes and services, and species interactions globally.

Advanced Virtual Impedance for Power‐Sharing Improvement in Microgrids Using Different SOGI Methods: A Comparative Study

open access: yesEnergy Technology, EarlyView.
Advanced virtual impedance control integrating multiple second‐order generalized integrator (SOGI) variants—SOGI, ESOGI, MSOGI, and DSOGI—enhances power and harmonic sharing accuracy in islanded microgrids. The comparative study quantifies performance–complexity trade‐offs, demonstrating up to 65% total harmonic distortion (THD) reduction and improved ...

Scour‐Conditioned Seismic Fragility Analysis of Monopile‐Supported Offshore Wind Turbines

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Monopile‐supported offshore wind turbines (MS‐OWTs) are increasingly deployed in seismic coastal regions, where they face compound risks from earthquake loading and seabed scour. While past studies have addressed these hazards separately, seismic fragility under evolving scour conditions remains insufficiently understood. This study introduces
