Carrier Mapping in Sub‐2nm Node Nanosheet Transistors with Scanning Spreading Resistance Microscopy

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Within this work, advancements in scanning spreading resistance microscopy (SSRM) allow charge carrier mapping within 5.5 nm‐thick nanosheet channels. Devices subjected to rapid thermal annealing at 950°C show ∼ 5 nm enhanced phosphorus diffusion, with profiles in close agreement with semi‐atomistic process simulations.

Robustness assessment of reinforced concrete structures for different failure scenarios

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract This study describes the robustness assessment of 3D reinforced concrete structures analyzing the response of the 2D frames in different design configurations and failure scenarios. The structures are characterized by both frames with wide beams and seismic‐resistant frames with deep beams.

Critical shear crack shapes in slender reinforced concrete beams with and without shear reinforcement

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract The accurate prediction of the shear capacity of reinforced concrete underpins the efficient and safe design of concrete buildings and infrastructure. Disagreement remains about shear mechanisms and the modeling of shear resistance. For slender beams without shear reinforcement, critical shear crack (CSC) models have attracted interest.

Performance analysis of strengthening reinforced concrete beams under pure torsion using galvanized steel sheets: Experimental and numerical investigation

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Reinforced concrete (RC) beams can be subjected to torsion, and failure due to torsion is brittle and poses a significant risk to occupants. Moreover, strengthening of existing RC beams in torsion may be required due to the upgrade of the structures or as part of structural rehabilitation.
