Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Experimental Investigation on Three Dimensional RC Infilled Frame - RC Plane Frame Interactions With Slab for Seismic Resistance [PDF]
Experimental investigation was planned and conducted to study the influence of brick masonry infill and slab in a three-dimensional reinforced cement concrete frame. In this study, one-fifth scale 3D R.C frame representing single story, three bays with central bay brick infill at the sides and a long single bay without infill in the middle of the frame

Progressive Collapse Resisting Mechanisms of Planar Prestressed Concrete Frame [PDF]
The paper presents the behavior of six tests of Planar Prestressed Concrete Frame under the loss of a middle column. The six tests consist of two non-prestressed reinforced concrete (RC) specimens and four prestressed concrete (PC) specimens with bonded ...

Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...

Speckle‐Engineered Upconversion Amplification in Nanoemulsion‐Templated Hydrogel Microdomes
Nanoemulsion‐confined PEGDA microdomes generate speckle‐like excitation fields that strongly amplify upconversion luminescence upon dehydration, enabling filter‐free visible readout with reversible on–off switching. DMD‐based lithography yields scalable, shape‐programmable arrays for moisture‐responsive displays and optical encryption.
