Speckle‐Engineered Upconversion Amplification in Nanoemulsion‐Templated Hydrogel Microdomes
Nanoemulsion‐confined PEGDA microdomes generate speckle‐like excitation fields that strongly amplify upconversion luminescence upon dehydration, enabling filter‐free visible readout with reversible on–off switching. DMD‐based lithography yields scalable, shape‐programmable arrays for moisture‐responsive displays and optical encryption.

Study on the Nonlinear Behavior of Strengthened RC Frames using Steel Prop and Crub in Connections and Strengthening of Beam and Column [PDF]
One of useful methods for strengthening for reinforced concrete frames, is to use steel prop and crub in connections, alone or combined with beam's revival steel sheets and column jacketing with steel sheets or profiles. In this paper, after modeling and

Seismic Retrofitting of RC Frames with RC Infilling [PDF]
The effectiveness of seismic retrofitting of multi-storey multi-bay RC-frame buildings, by converting selected bays into new walls through infilling with RC, was studied experimentally at the ELSA facility at JRC, Ispra, and the results are reported here.

We present a tissue‐stimulator platform for seamless electrode integration with pancreatic tissue, applying uniform electrical stimulation through optimized design with biohybrid 3D printing. Advantageous effects of electrical stimulation on β‐cell function were observed, including enhanced calcium signaling, islet morphology, and maturation.

The Non-Linear Behavior of Mixed Reinforced Concrete–Steel Frames under Strong Earthquakes
Mixed building frames constructed using reinforced concrete (RC) in the lower stories and structural steel in the higher ones meet great scientific interest as forming a common and often constructed building type. However, the current seismic regulations

Assembly of Cell‐Seeded 3D Printed Hydrogel Modules with Perfusable Channel Networks
Macroscale assembly was utilized to prepare perfusable tissue constructs from individually 3D printed hydrogel modules with embedded branched channel networks and port arrays for cell seeding. Novel multi‐material bioreactors were fabricated to facilitate the gluing of individual modules and the perfusion culture of assembled modular constructs seeded ...

Numerical Analysis of Masonry-Infilled RC-CLT Panel Connections
CLT panels have been investigated for reinforcement of existing masonry-infilled RC framed buildings through the increase of the overall lateral stiffness of the structure, thus reducing the story drift demand.

Experimental Study on Seismic Behaviour of RC Frames with Different Infilled Masonry [PDF]
Six 1/2 scaled, single-storey, one-bay frame specimens were tested in this study to investigate the seismic behavior of masonry infilled reinforced concrete (RC) frames subjected to lateral loading. The variables investigated include types of masonry and

Numerical Analysis on the Collapse of a RC Frame
Abstract This paper focuses on the collapse analysis of a planar RC frame. This research is based on an experimental study presented in the literature. The analyses are conducted using a dedicated software based on the Applied Element Method. This numerical method is able to model accurately all the structural behaviour stages leading up
