Transcriptional benchmark dose modeling of ultraviolet radiation‐induced genomic activation in mouse skin

Exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UV‐R) from tanning equipment increases skin cancer risk through molecular changes, but genomic thresholds remain unclear. Using mice, we examined dose‐ and time‐dependent gene expression after erythemally‐weighted UV‐R doses (0–40 mJ/cm2).

Abstract Objectives Smoking tobacco is a critical modifiable risk factor for periodontal and peri‐implant diseases. This narrative review integrates established behavioral theories with communication‐based psychological processes to propose an evidence‐based model for smoking cessation support in periodontal care.

Abstract Background Platelet transfusion refractoriness (PTR) is a major challenge in transfusion medicine and may result from both immune and non‐immune mechanisms. Although alloantibodies are well‐established contributors, Fc‐independent pathways such as platelet desialylation have emerged as alternative mechanisms of clearance.
