The RCC Arch Dam Analysis during Overload

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
It does numerical analysis on the overload of RCC arch dam named wanjiakouzi, through the analysis, we try to find the damage process of the dam. It does elastic-plastic analysis by FEM. Result shows that the horizontal cracks are usually a very important symbol, it means the dam will reach its ultimate capacity.

Thermo‐Mechanical Analysis of Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Dams (Jahgin Dam)

Symposium on the Application of Geophysics to Engineering and Environmental Problems 2009, 2009
In this paper a procedure for two-dimensional unsteady thermo-mechanical analysis of layered structures is presented, allowing the determination of the temperature and stress field at each step the construction period. The finite element method is employed in the methodology.

Geomembrane application for an RCC dam

Geotextiles and Geomembranes, 1996
Abstract This paper focuses on a fairly unique application of a geosynthetic material for a reservoir impoundment dam. Use of a geosynthetic material to enhance the ‘impervious’ nature of the design was not without its attendant difficulties during installation.
