Construction phase oriented dynamic simulation: taking RCC dam placement process as an example

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 2019
Construction simulation has been widely applied in schedule analysis. However, traditional simulation is based on static models built in the planning or design phase, which focuses on overall project-level schedule analysis.

The Importance of Accounting for Stakeholder Values, Power Relationships and Language in Constructing Relevant and Trustworthy Climate Information

open access: yesEarth's Future, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Facing increasing risks from climate change, governments at all levels have started to mainstream the use of climate information. It has been widely acknowledged that the inclusion of stakeholder knowledge and needs, for example, in a co‐design and co‐production process, is important for producing user‐relevant information.

Does the Cave Environment Limit Functional Diversity? Rethinking Patterns in Oniscidea Assemblages From a Neotropical Karst

open access: yesBiotropica, Volume 58, Issue 1, January 2026.
Cave habitats strongly filter functional traits, constraining the diversity of terrestrial isopod communities along the epigean–hypogean gradient. Functional turnover decreases while richness differences increase in hypogean systems, reflecting uneven occupation of trait space rather than simple trait replacement.

STABILITY AND STRENGTH OF NEW DAM OF ROLLER COMPACTED VERY LEAN CONCRETE UNDER MAXIMUM SEISMIC ACTIONS

open access: yesStructural Mechanics of Engineering Constructions and Buildings, 2008
Results of seismic stress-strain state analysis are considered for the new symmetrical 100 m high dam with slopes of 1/0.5 (V/H), outer zones of roller compacted concrete (RCC) and wide central zone of rockfill enriched with cement mortar.
