Degradable and Recyclable 3D‐Printed Pheromones Delivery System Reinforced by Metal Coordination Cross‐Linking for Efficient Pest Trapping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a 3D‐printed carrier for the slow release of insect pheromones. Reinforced by lignosulfonate and Fe³⁺ coordination in a cellulose acetate matrix, it enables sustained release for up to six weeks with remarkable trapping efficacy. Featuring soil degradability and recyclable re‐printing capability, this carrier provides a sustainable ...

Chiral magnetic effect in the Dirac–Heisenberg–Wigner formalism

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2018
In this paper the emergence of the Chiral Magnetic Effect (CME) and the related anomalous current is investigated using the real time Dirac–Heisenberg–Wigner formalism.

The observation of light nuclei at ALICE and the X(3872) conundrum

open access: yes, 2015
The new data reported by ALICE on the production of light nuclei with pT < 10 GeV in Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt(s_NN) = 2.76 TeV are used to compute an order-of-magnitude estimate of the expected production cross sections of light nuclei in proton-proton ...

Fluorinated Carnitine Derivatives as Tools to Visualise Carnitine Transport and Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorinated carnitines, fluoromethyl carnitine (FMC) and [18F]fluoromethyl carnitine ([18F]FMC), are synthesised and established as powerful probes to interrogate carnitine biology. The multimodal detection facilitated by fluorine labelling, including 19F NMR, mass spectrometry, and positron emission tomography imaging, allowed for visualisation of ...

Femtoscopy with Identified Hadrons in pp, pPb, and PbPb Collisions in CMS

open access: yesUniverse, 2017
Short-range correlations of identified charged hadrons in pp ( s = 0.9, 2.76, and 7 TeV), pPb ( s NN = 5.02 TeV), and peripheral PbPb collisions ( s NN = 2.76 TeV) are studied with the CMS detector at the LHC. Charged

Life without the Beach: Projected Sea Level Rise and its Impact on Barrier Islands Along the East Coast, USA

open access: yes, 2019
As climate change is becoming a global issue, the impact of sea level rise is increasingly becoming a threat to humans, wildlife, infrastructure, and ecosystems. To evaluate the effects of sea level rise on barrier islands and coastal regions, we studied

Polarization‐Dependent 3D Holography Generated by Inverse Design Nanoprinting Metasurface

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel polarization‐dependent 3D holography is proposed by introducing polarization as an additional freedom, enabling enhanced depth selectivity and greater control over holographic reconstruction. The efforts perfectly combine the polarization and 3D holography display into ADAM gradient descent algorithm, the application of nanoprinting further ...

K* production in Cu+Cu and Au+Au collisions at sqrt(s_{NN}) = 62.4 GeV and 200 GeV in STAR

open access: yes, 2008
We report the measurements of $p_T$ spectra of $K^*$ up to intermediate $p_T$ region in mid-rapidity through its hadronic decay channel using the STAR detector in Au+Au and Cu+Cu collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}$= 62.4 GeV and 200 GeV.

A Shear Thickening Colloidal Suspension Functioning via Progressive Impact Jamming with Persistent Lubrication Layer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ionic liquid‐based shear‐thickening fluid (ILSTF) exhibits lubricated dynamics from strong shear thickening to impact‐triggered jamming. A persistent nanometric solvation layer around silica governs both the shear thickening saturation in rheology and jamming front propagation under dynamic impact compression.
