Climate Shapes Elevational Gradients in Concentration, Composition, and Functional Diversity of Willow Metabolomes

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Plants produce broad spectra of metabolites comprising primary metabolites involved in core physiological processes and specialized metabolites mediating responses to biotic and abiotic stress. Understanding how these various components of the metabolome respond to different environmental pressures can help us to understand drivers of ...

open access: yesPhycological Research, EarlyView.
SUMMARY Three new species of the coralline algal genus Arthrocardia (Corallinophycidae, Rhodophyta) are described from New Zealand: A. meridionalis, A. perplexa, and A. robusta. These species are difficult to distinguish based on morphoanatomical characters alone and require molecular sequence data for reliable identification.
