RDF/RDFS-based Relational Database Integration
22nd International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE'06), 2006We study the problem of answering queries through a RDF/RDFS ontology, given a set of view-based mappings between one or more relational schemas and this target ontology. Particularly, we consider a set of RDFS semantic constraints such as rdfs:subClassof, rdfs:subPropertyof, rdfs:domain, and rdfs:range, which are present in RDF model but neither XML ...

Since their definition in 1992, Least Common Subsumers (LCSs) have been identified as services supporting learning by examples. Nowadays, the Web of Data offers a hypothetically unlimited dataset of interlinked and machine-understandable examples modeled as RDF resources.

Validating RDF Data, 2017
RDF and Linked Data have broad applicability across many fields, from aircraft manufacturing to zoology. Requirements for detecting bad data differ across communities, fields, and tasks, but nearly all involve some form of data validation.

Enabling Semantic Mediation for Business Applications: XML-RDF, RDF-XML and XSD-RDFS transformations
2007In this paper, we describe results of our work in developing transformation tools that enable use of RDF-based Semantic Mediation tools for integration of business applications that have implemented XML Schema-based interfaces. Specifically, we are concerned with validating advanced Semantic Mediation solutions that required XML to RDF, RDF to XML, and

This chapter provides an introduction to the RDF language as well as surveys the languages that can be used for querying RDF graphs. Then it reviews some of the languages that can be used for querying RDF and provides a comparison between these query languages.

Languages for representing data and knowledge are an important aspect of the Semantic Web, and there are a lot of languages around! Most languages are based on XML (eXtensible Markup Language) or use XML as syntax; some have connections to RDF (Resource Description Framework) or RDF schemas.

RDF-GL: A SPARQL-Based Graphical Query Language for RDF
2010This chapter presents RDF-GL, a graphical query language (GQL) for RDF. The GQL is based on the textual query language SPARQL and mainly focuses on SPARQL SELECT queries. The advantage of a GQL over textual query languages is that complexity is hidden through the use of graphical symbols.
