Modeling fuzzy data with RDF and fuzzy relational database models

open access: yesInternational Journal of Intelligent Systems, 2018
The Resource Description Framework (RDF) is a flexible model for representing information about resources on the Web. As a World Wide Web Consortium recommendation, RDF has rapidly gained popularity.

Revisiting the Impact of Anion Selection on Sulfur Redox Reaction Kinetics for High Sulfur Loading Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Sulfur redox reactions are systematically evaluated with nine commercial lithium salts and developed a new LiTFSI‐free, PFAS‐free electrolyte for Li–S batteries. LiBOB, once considered incompatible, forms a stable cathode‐electrolyte interphase, suppressing the shuttle effect and delivering excellent performance in high‐loading Li–S cells, offering a ...

Nitrogen‐Doped Amorphous Carbon Film for Enhanced Cu2+ Electrochemical Sensing in Marine Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Large‐area N‐doped amorphous carbon films are synthesized at room temperature via hybrid linear ion source technique. Nitrogen doping promotes the formation of sp2−C and C‐N bonds, thus enhancing the electrode's sensitivity. These electrodes achieve ultra‐low Cu2+ detection (8 × 10−3 mM) in 3.5 wt% NaCl and exhibit excellent stability/repeatability for

Effect of Atomic Charges on C2H2/CO2/CH4 Separation Performances of Covalent‐Organic Framework Adsorbents

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
Three charge assignment approaches (one quantum chemistry method‐based, the other two machine‐learning (ML) model‐based) are employed to investigate acetylene separation performances of experimental covalent‐organic frameworks. Partial Atomic Charge Predicter for Porous Materials based on Graph Convolutional Neural Network (PACMAN) ML model‐based ...

Effect of Anion Hydrophobicity on the Oxidation of Ferrocene‐Terminated Monolayers

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
Self‐assembled monolayers terminated with ferrocene moieties can be oxidized using an applied potential. At the oxidized layer, anions from the electrolyte can form a layer. Experiments show a relationship between the hydrophobicity of the anion species and the redox potential.

Microporous Polymer Membranes: Molecular Stents Enhanced Solvent‐Accessibility for Organic Solvent Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel microporous polyimide (PI‐TB‐NDI) is designed for enhanced organic solvent nanofiltration. By incorporating o‐methyl groups into the Tröger's base (TB) unit to create molecular stents, the polymer's intrinsic free volume is effectively increased without the need for post‐treatment.

Wide‐Temperature Electrolyte Design via Cation‐Anion Solvation Engineering for 4.6 V Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work proposed a synergistic cation‐anion solvation engineering strategy for wide‐temperature and high‐voltage electrolytes. The superior ionic conductivity under subzero temperatures, excellent thermal stability, and induced inorganic‐rich cathode‐electrolyte interphase endow the LiCoO2 cathodes reliable performance under harsh conditions with a ...

From Ancient Techniques to Modern Solutions: In Situ Synthesis of C‐S‐H for Sandstone Conservation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Herein, this work presents a paleo‐inspired approach to synthesizing and optimizing C‐S‐H‐based grouting mortars for conserving the sandstone of Beishan Grottoes, Dazu Rock Carvings, China. By achieving an optimal recipe compatible with natural sandstone, this work demonstrates the pivotal role of hydrogen bonding in the adhesion between C‐S‐H mortars ...

Predictable Self‐Assembly as an Unexplored Key Factor Influencing Membrane Separation: Insights from Monophenols

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Predictable molecular self‐assembly strength is key to membrane separation, contrary to typical understanding. Monophenol research shows substituent abundance and specificity govern self‐assembly strength. This predictability enables a novel separation method: membranes reject molecules with stronger self‐assembly more effectively, separating similarly

Graphically Querying RDF Using RDF-GL

open access: yes, 2010
In today's data-driven world, we observe an ever-increasing need for information, which fuels the importance of the ability to query large databases quickly and efficiently. For a large share, this growing need is addressed by tools and languages aimed at performing complex queries on distributed data.
