The path index for query processing on RDF and RDF schema
The 7th International Conference on Advanced Communication Technology, 2005, ICACT 2005., 2005In the semantic Web, metadata and ontology plays important roles for advanced information retrieval systems. A large amount of RDF documents for describing metadata and RDF Schema documents for representing ontology is made available. Therefore, many studies to store and query metadata and ontology in RDF and RDF Schema are required.

This chapter presents an in-depth primer for the RDF Schema (RDFS 1.1) standard, which is primarily used to define a lightweight semantics for the classes and properties used in RDF graphs. After an initial motivation and overview, we discuss the RDFS vocabulary, and how it can be used to define sub-classes, sub-properties, domain and ranges, amongst ...

Incremental Schema Discovery at Scale for RDF Data
2021The lack of a descriptive schema for an RDF dataset has motivated several research works addressing the problem of automatic schema discovery. The goal of these approaches is to generate a structural schema of a given RDF dataset from its instances. However, as new instances are added, the generated schema may become inconsistent with the dataset.

A Proposal for Management of RDF and RDF Schema Metadata in MOF
2003This paper proposes two MOF metamodels to support the representation and management of RDF and RDF Schema metadata. A metamodel is a set of related metadata used to build models. The MOF defines an abstract language and a framework to support the specification, implementation and ma-nagement of platform independent metamodels.

Scalable Schema Discovery for RDF Data
2020The semantic web provides access to an increasing number of linked datasets expressed in RDF. One feature of these datasets is that they are not constrained by a schema. Such schema could be very useful as it helps users understand the structure of the entities and can ease the exploitation of the dataset.

Revealing the Conceptual Schemas of RDF Datasets
2019RDF-based datasets, thanks to their semantic richness, variety and fine granularity, are increasingly used by both researchers and business communities. However, these datasets suffer a lack of completeness as the content evolves continuously and data contributors are loosely constrained by the vocabularies and schemes related to the data sources ...

Disjunctive Constraints in RDF and Their Application to Context Schemas
2014RDF is a data model whose relevance is growing in the last years. Recently, some proposals have enriched the model with integrity constraints, well known within relational databases. In this work we extend an existing framework with two new types of integrity constraints of disjunctive nature, inspired by similar kinds of dependencies studied for the ...

Superimposed multidimensional schemas for RDF data analysis
2017 IEEE 14th International Scientific Conference on Informatics, 2017Traditional data analysis employs online analytical processing (OLAP) systems operating on multidimensional (MD) data. The Resource Description Framework (RDF) serves as the foundation for the publication of a growing amount of semantic web data still largely untapped by data analysis.

Schema Discovery in RDF Data Sources
2015The Web has become a huge information space consisting of interlinked datasets, enabling the design of new applications. The meaningful usage of these datasets is a challenge, as it requires some knowledge about their content such as their types and properties. In this paper, we present an automatic approach for schema discovery in RDF(S)/OWL datasets.
