Pathophysiology of re-entrant dysrhythmias

European Heart Journal, 1984
Re-entry was demonstrated as a self-perpetuating mechanism as early as 1906. It may lead to single-cycle electrocardiographic phenomena as well as reciprocating tachycardias. Factors favouring re-entry are as follows. Unidirectional or temporary local block of conduction, a mechanism always involved in initiation of reciprocating rhythms but also of ...

A Continuum Model for a Re-entrant Factory

Operations Research, 2006
High-volume, multistage continuous production flow through a re-entrant factory is modeled through a conservation law for a continuous-density variable on a continuous-production line augmented by a state equation for the speed of the production along the production line.

Re-entrant ferrimagnetism in TbMn6Ge6

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1995
Abstract The magnetic ordering of the hexagonal compound TbMn 6 Ge 6 has been studied by neutron diffraction at various temperatures between 1.8 and 500 K. In almost the whole magnetically ordered regime the magnetic structures are incommensurate with the crystal lattice.

Re-Entrant Superconductivity

1983
The discovery of resistivity minima in metals at low temperatures dates back some fifty years, and yet the evolution of a successful theoretical account of the basic anomaly continues to this date. Originally observations1 on Mg, Mo, Te, Co and Pd yielded dramatic departures from the expected resistivity variation $$\rho (T) = {\rho _0} + B{T^5},$$

Method of control for re-entrant programs

Proceedings of the October 27-29, 1964, fall joint computer conference, part I on XX - AFIPS '64 (Fall, part I), 1964
The use of multiprogramming and multiprocessing raises a question as to the number of copies of a routine needed in memory for multiple concurrent use. In the case where two or more scientific programs are in core at the same time, each needing the use of a SINE routine, a private copy can be provided for each program's own use, or one copy can be ...

A Re-Entrant Cavity for Microwave-Enhanced Chemistry

Journal of Microwave Power and Electromagnetic Energy, 2003
The electromagnetic aspect of microwave dielectric heating is analyzed. It is concluded that a re-entrant cavity may supply high electric field component that is theoretically favorable efficient microwave absorption process in a small liquid or solid chemical sample.

Atrioventricular re-entrant tachycardia

2018
Atrioventricular (AV) re-entrant tachycardia (AVRT) is a type of supraventricular tachycardia, manifesting most commonly as a regular, narrow-QRS-complex tachycardia. It is usually a paroxysmal tachycardia, and is dependent upon the presence of an accessory electrical connection located between the atria and the ventricles (distinct and separate from ...

The Simulation and Optimization for Re-entrant Manufacturing System

2016
Due to necessary requirement of product processing, the re-entrant manufacturing system, which has re-entrant property, is different from general manufacturing system or reworking. The frequency of re-entry is far more than general manufacturing system, which will lead to the WIP work-in-process competing for one equipment in different phrases of ...

Sinus node re-entrant tachycardia in man

American Heart Journal, 1975
Sinus node re-entry (SNR) usually appears as a single beat. Tachycardias (SNRT) consistent with sustained SNR were seen in six patients and were initiated by premature stimulation of the high right atrium (six patients) and coronary sinus (four patients), and after continuous pacing from the high right atrium (four patients) or right ventricle (one ...
