Numerical Study to Coupled Three Dimensional Reaction Diffusion System

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The numerical solution of reaction diffusion systems may require more computational efforts if the change in concentrations occurs extremely rapid. This is because more time points are needed to resolve the reaction diffusion process accurately.

Breathing Spots in a Reaction-Diffusion System

open access: yes, 1996
A quasi-2-dimensional stationary spot in a disk-shaped chemical reactor is observed to bifurcate to an oscillating spot when a control parameter is increased beyond a critical value.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Transition disorder–order–disorder in reaction-diffusion biophysical system

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2012
The evolution of spatial pattern formation, which arises in the biophysical system of reaction-diffusion type in external noise, is researched analytically.

Spatiotemporal Dynamics of Reaction–Diffusion System and Its Application to Turing Pattern Formation in a Gray–Scott Model

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
This paper deals with the effects of partial differential equations on the development of spatiotemporal patterns in reaction–diffusion systems. These systems describe how the concentration of a certain substance is distributed in space or time under the

Systematic front distortion and presence of consecutive fronts in a precipitation system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A new simple reaction-diffusion system is presented focusing on pattern formation phenomena as consecutive precipitation fronts and distortion of the precipitation front. The chemical system investigated here is based on the amphoteric property of ...

The anti‐CRISPR protein AcrIE8.1 inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system by directly binding to the Cascade subunit Cas11

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.

Global Strong Solutions for a Class of Heterogeneous Catalysis Models

open access: yes, 2016
We consider a mathematical model for heterogeneous catalysis in a finite three-dimensional pore of cylinder-like geometry, with the lateral walls acting as a catalytic surface.

Structural insights into lacto‐N‐biose I recognition by a family 32 carbohydrate‐binding module from Bifidobacterium bifidum

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bifidobacterium bifidum establishes symbiosis with infants by metabolizing lacto‐N‐biose I (LNB) from human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The extracellular multidomain enzyme LnbB drives this process, releasing LNB via its catalytic glycoside hydrolase family 20 (GH20) lacto‐N‐biosidase domain.

Exhibiting cross-diffusion-induced patterns for reaction-diffusion systems on evolving domains and surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The aim of this manuscript is to present for the first time the application of the finite element method for solving reaction-diffusion systems with cross-diffusion on continuously evolving domains and surfaces.
