Chemical reaction equilibrium at supercritical conditions

Chemical Engineering Science, 1988
Abstract A theoretical procedure for investigating the effects of pressure, temperature and initial reactant composition on supercritical fluid reaction equilibrium is presented. The procedure involves a simultaneous solution of the reaction equilibrium and phase equilibrium equations.

Polar Reactions Under Basic Conditions

1999
Now that you have learned how to identify the mechanistic class of a particular reaction, you are ready to learn how to write the mechanism itself. This chapter is devoted to polar mechanisms that occur under basic conditions. Archetypical mechanisms will be presented and discussed so that you become familiar with the patterns of reactivity of organic ...

Oxygenation Reactions under Two-Phase Conditions

1994
In living organisms the introduction of an oxygen atom into a substrate (oxygenation reaction) is performed by enzymes of the cytochrome P-450 family. Such enzymes feature a Fe(III)-protoporphyrin IX at the active site where, after reduction, molecular oxygen is coordinated and activated through a very complicated mechanism, “reductive oxygen ...

Prediction of Organic Reaction Products:  Determining the Best Reaction Conditions

Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Sciences, 2000
We describe some of our most recent achievements concerning the selection of the best set of reaction conditions for a specific reaction. In particular, we will concentrate on the selection of the best solvent to minimize side reactions. The solvent should favor a kinetically controlled reaction if it is a good solvent for the transition state and a ...

Expert System for Predicting Reaction Conditions: The Michael Reaction Case

Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling, 2015
A generic chemical transformation may often be achieved under various synthetic conditions. However, for any specific reagents, only one or a few among the reported synthetic protocols may be successful. For example, Michael β-addition reactions may proceed under different choices of solvent (e.g., hydrophobic, aprotic polar, protic) and catalyst (e.g.,

CONDITIONING REACTION TIME: EVIDENCE FOR A PROCESS OF CONDITIONED AUTOMATIZATION

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1992
The classical conditioning of the standard, simple reaction time (RT) in 140 college men and women is described. Consequent to an anticipatory instructed conditioning procedure, two experimental and two control groups acquired voluntary, controlled US(light)-URTR (unconditioned reaction-time response) associations which then served as the foundation ...
