Unveiling radii and neutron skins of unstable atomic nuclei via nuclear collisions

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics
Total reaction, interaction, and charge-changing cross sections, which are kinds of cross sections standing for total nuclear collision probability in medium-to high-energy region from a few to several hundred MeV, have been extensively utilized to probe

Investigation of the 27Al(d,x)24Na nuclear reaction for deuteron beam monitoring purpose

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
Activation cross-sections for the 27Al(d,x)24Na nuclear reaction was measured by using a stacked-foil activation technique combined with high purity germanium (HPGe) γ-ray spectrometry over deuteron energy range of 2–24 MeV. Measured data were critically

New Approach for Evaluating Incomplete and Complete Fusion Cross Sections with Continuum-Discretized Coupled-Channels Method

open access: yes, 2009
We propose a new method for evaluating incomplete and complete fusion cross sections separately using the Continuum-Discretized Coupled-Channels method.

Reference Cross Sections for Charged-particle Monitor Reactions

open access: yesNuclear Data Sheets, 2018
Abstract Evaluated cross sections of beam-monitor reactions are expected to become the de-facto standard for cross-section measurements that are performed over a very broad energy range in accelerators in order to produce particular radionuclides for industrial and medical applications.

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Investigation of complete and incomplete fusion in $^{7}$Li+$^{124}$Sn reaction around Coulomb barrier energies

open access: yes, 2018
The complete and incomplete fusion cross sections for $^{7}$Li+$^{124}$Sn reaction were measured using online and offline characteristic $\gamma$-ray detection techniques. The complete fusion (CF) cross sections at energies above the Coulomb barrier were

Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.

Determining of Cross Sections for 22Na (n,α) 19F reaction from Cross Sections of 19F(α,n) 22Na reaction using the reciprocity theory for the ground state

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences, 2017
In this study, light elements 19F ,22Na for  (α,n) and (n,α) reactions as well as α-particle energy  from a threshold energy  to 10 MeV are used according to the available data of reaction cross sections.

Statistical Model Analysis of (n, α) Cross Sections for 4.0-6.5 MeV Neutrons

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
The statistical model based on the Weisskopf-Ewing theory and constant nuclear temperature approximation is used for systematical analysis of the 4.0-6.5 MeV neutron induced (n, α) reaction cross sections.
