Nonstatistical Reaction Dynamics

Annual Review of Physical Chemistry, 2020
Nonstatistical dynamics is important for many chemical reactions. The Rice-Ramsperger-Kassel-Marcus (RRKM) theory of unimolecular kinetics assumes a reactant molecule maintains a statistical microcanonical ensemble of vibrational states during its dissociation so that its unimolecular dynamics are time independent.

Reaction Dynamics

Science, 1998
Reaction Dynamics provides a concise account of the dynamics and kinetics of elementary reactions in the gas phase, and is structured to emphasize the relationship between thermal rate coefficients and the microscopic mechanisms of chemical reactions.

Ion Reaction Dynamics

Annual Review of Physical Chemistry, 1995
This article reviews recent progress in the study of ion reaction dynamics in which product energy disposal studies provide detailed information about the potential energy surfaces mediating chemical rea ction. We emphasize product state-resolved studies of the proton tran sfer and hydro gen atom tran sfer reactions of 0-.

Dynamic reactions of liposomes

Soft Matter, 2014
Dynamic chemical reactions at the surface of liposomes are of fundamental interest to the understanding of physiological processes at biological membranes and can be exploited to prepare responsive soft materials. In this paper we describe a covalent yet reversible reaction between liposomes.

Ion–Molecule Reaction Dynamics

Annual Review of Physical Chemistry, 2017
We review the recent advances in the investigation of the dynamics of ion–molecule reactions. During the past decade, the combination of single-collision experiments in crossed ion and neutral beams with the velocity map ion imaging detection technique has enabled a wealth of studies on ion–molecule reactions.

Interfacial reaction dynamics

The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1985

Reaction Dynamics

2023
Abstract Over the past two decades, many experiments have exposed reactions that do not operate under statistical theories. These experiments directly call into question the meaning of a reaction mechanism, when features of the potential energy surface may not in fact determine reaction outcomes.

Reaction dynamics: concluding remarks

Faraday Discussions, 2012
The 157th Faraday Discussion represented a historic turning point in the development of the field of reaction dynamics because it concerned itself with how reactions occur in gases, in liquid, and at interfaces. Never before has the attempt been made to unify the various approaches to reaction dynamics in one Faraday Discussion meeting and to discover ...
