Prenyltransferase: the mechanism of the reaction
Biochemistry, 1976The enzyme, prenyltransferase, which normally catalyzes the addition of an allylic pyrophosphate to isopentenyl pyrophosphate, has been found to catalyze the hydrolysis of its allylic substrate. The rate of this hydrolysis is markedly stimulated by inorganic pyrophosphate.

Mechanism of Oligomerization Reactions of Silica

The solvent effect is included by using the COSMO model. The formation of various oligomers (from dimer to tetramer) was investigated.

Several of the key intermediates in the previously proposed "azlactone" mechanism have been experimentally detected and characterized.

Science, 1967Arsanilic acid conjugates of polymers of L-typrosine, glutamic acid, and alanine are immunogenic and can elicit hapten-specific, delayed-hypersensitivity reactions in sensitized guinea pigs. Conjugates of the D-amino acid polymers are neither immunogenic nor capable of eliciting delayed reactions.
