Hydrothermal Reaction Sintering of Oxides

Metal powders or chips were reacted with high temperature and high pressure solution to form oxides under certain hydrothermal conditions. $$ Me + X{H_2}O \to Me{O_X} + X{H_2} $$ (1) Well sintered oxide body was obtained at 1000°C for 3 to 15 h under high pressure of 100 MPa.

Reaction sintering and its practical application
