Reaction sintering of zircon–dolomite mixtures
Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2001Abstract Dolomite–zircon mixtures have become interesting for finding alternate sources to improve the production of high magnesia refractories. To asses this option, two minerals, dolomite and zircon were selected, as economically raw materials, to produce MgO–CaZrO 3 –Ca 2 SiO 4 materials.

Hydrothermal Reaction Sintering of Oxides
1989Metal powders or chips were reacted with high temperature and high pressure solution to form oxides under certain hydrothermal conditions. $$ Me + X{H_2}O \to Me{O_X} + X{H_2} $$ (1) Well sintered oxide body was obtained at 1000°C for 3 to 15 h under high pressure of 100 MPa.

Reaction sintering and its practical application
Glass and Ceramics, 1993Some important premises in reaction sintering, which compacts ceramics due to chemical reactions accompanied by a positive volume effect were examined. A calculated and graphic interpretation of the process was given and can be used to predict compaction in reaction sintering.

Solid State Reactions and Sintering
2019Solid state reactions are mainly used to synthesize fine raw particles and to sinter advanced ceramics. To control the powder characteristics and sintering process, several analyses have been conducted based on classical thermodynamics and kinetics.
