Creep of Reaction Sintered and Liquid Phase Sintered Sialon
Creep experiments were conducted with 100—250 MPa stress at 1200-1450°C of Reaction Sintered (RS) Sialon A synthesized from Si3N4-AlN-Al203 and Liquid Phase Sintered (LPS) Sialon C, CI synthesized from Y203-A1N-Si02 systems. RS Sialon A, containing no liquid phase sintering aid, had better creep resistance than LPS Sialon C, CI.

This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.
