On the Reactivity of Ferrocenoylsilanes
European Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2002Reactions of ferrocenoylsilanes 1 with lithium aluminium hydrideand organometallic reagents show unusual behaviour in that the ferrocenyl aldehydes 4 and ketones 5-9 are obtained instead of the expected secondary and tertiary silylated alcohols. This paper also reports on the synthesis and reactivity of the first planar chiral enantiomerically pure ...

Abstract This paper describes a variety of homicide characterized by an element of reality in resorting to the killing of a parent. It deals with families marked by the presence of what I call catastrophic conflict. This term denotes a conflict which exceeds the adaptive capacity of an individual and can be resolved only by structural ...

Abstract:Although sometimes used to refer to any sterile arthritis occurring in association with infection, the term ‘reactive arthritis’ is better reserved for arthritis following sexually acquired nonspecific urethritis or enteric infections with organisms such as Shigella, Salmonella, Yersinia and Campylobacter, because these arthropathies are ...

For our understanding of interactions between living organisms and the solid earth it is fascinating to investigate the reactivity of iron at the interface of the bio- and geosphere. Similar to manganese (Chap. 11), iron occurs in two valence states as oxidized ferric iron, Fe(III), and reduced ferrous iron, Fe(II).

Reactive arthritis is one of the spondyloarthropathy family of clinical syndromes. The clinical features are those shared by other members of the spondyloarthritis family, though it is distinguished by a clear relationship with a precipitating infection.
