Cooperative design and control of distributed harmonic and reactive compensators
2008 International School on Nonsinusoidal Currents and Compensation, 2008A theoretical background for the design and coordinated control of multiple compensation equipment acting in the same network is presented. It makes use of instantaneous power terms which are conservative in every network and naturally extend the usual power definitions to the case of distorted voltages and currents.

The Method of Forming the Compensating Current of the Automated Reactive Power Compensator
2018 XIV International Scientific-Technical Conference on Actual Problems of Electronics Instrument Engineering (APEIE), 2018The article proposes an original technique for forming the correcting current of an automated compensator of a reactive power. The synthesized technique and the scheme of the automatic compensator of reactive power are presented. The device is based on tracking algorithms and is assembled on the basis of a microprocessor.

Adaptive Nonlinear Compensation of Reactive Power
1983 American Control Conference, 1983The potential of a new adaptive control for reactive power sources is investigated. In the large disturbance regimes, the adaptive signals supplement the nominal, thyristor activated, reactors and capacitors in manipulating the network voltage. Convergence of the scheme, and its relationship to the inherent system nonlinearities is considered.
