Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Reactive polymeric dyes as textile auxiliaries [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Commercial and synthetic azobenzene derivatives were used for the synthesis of hydrophilic polymeric dyes. Two strategies based respectively on the polymerization of dye methacrylic derivatives with different monomers and on the functionalization of ...

Effects of IGFBP4 deficiency on human preadipocyte proliferation and differentiation through the IGF1R/AKT pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.

Nucleophilic Addition of Reactive Dyes on Amidoximated Acrylic Fabrics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Seven reactive dyes judiciously selected based on chemical structures and fixation mechanisms were applied at 2% owf of shade on amidoximated acrylic fabrics. Amidoximated acrylic fabric has been obtained by a viable amidoximation process. The dyeability

DYEING OF CELLULOSE FIBER WITH REACTIVE DYE

open access: yesSen'i Gakkaishi, 1975
In order to clarify the dyeing mechanism of cellulose fiber with the reactive dye (Procion Yellow HA), the absorption and the reactivity of dyestuff were studied and following results were obtained:1) Diffusion coefficients calculated from Fick's equation depend on dyeing time at the initial stage.

From energy provision to protein synthesis: Tunnelling nanotubes as mediators of intercellular metabolic cooperation in cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.
