Arch bridge made of reactive powder concrete [PDF]
Concrete is the most commonly used building material. It is used for buildings, industrial structures, bridges and dams. Every day the concrete is being improved, to achieve better characteristics, reduce price and to be environmental acceptable.

Reactive Powder Concrete with Composite Fibres
Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC) is a composite material characterised with high strength and durability. Reactive powder concrete is a type of concrete which is made without coarse aggregate, contains cement, river sand, micro silica, super plasticizer and composite fibres with low water cement ratio.

Chemical enhancement of footwear impressions in blood deposited on fabric — evaluating the use of alginate casting materials followed by chemical enhancement [PDF]
Most footwear marks made in blood on a surface such as fabric tend to be enhanced in situ rather than physically recovered using a lifting technique prior to enhancement.

Agro Waste Sugarcane Bagasse as a Cementitious Material for Reactive Powder Concrete
In the field of advanced concrete science, the construction industry has risen to great heights. Due to its own characterisation, the manufacturing cost of reactive powder concrete (RPC) is very high.

Environmentally Friendly Pervious Concrete for Treating Deicer-Laden Stormwater: Phase I [PDF]
A graphene oxide-modified pervious concrete was developed by using low-reactivity, high-calcium fly ash as sole binder and chemical activators and other admixtures.

Utilization of copper slag as a cementitious material in reactive powder concrete [PDF]
This research studies the use of copper slag from a plant in Belgium as a cementitious material in reactive powder concrete (RPC). The quickly cooled granulated copper slag (QCS) was ground intensively using a planetary ball mill. A lower water-to-binder

How dense can one pack spheres of arbitrary size distribution?
We present the first systematic algorithm to estimate the maximum packing density of spheres when the grain sizes are drawn from an arbitrary size distribution. With an Apollonian filling rule, we implement our technique for disks in 2d and spheres in 3d.

Environmentally Friendly Pervious Concrete for Treating Deicer-Laden Stormwater: Phase II [PDF]
In Phase I of this project, graphene oxide (GO)-modified pervious concrete was developed using coal fly ash as the sole binder. The primary objectives of Phase II of this project were (1) to evaluate the stormwater infiltration capacity of GO-modified ...
