Adsorption of Reactive Red 120 from aqueous solutions by cetylpyridinium‐bentonite
AbstractBACKGROUND: The removal of Reactive Red 120 (RR 120) from aqueous solutions using cetylpyridinium modified Resadiye bentonite (CP‐bentonite) prepared by ion exchange was investigated with particular reference to the effects of temperature, pH and ionic strength on adsorption.RESULTS: Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and thermal analysis (TG ...

Degradation of Reactive Red 120 dye by a heterogeneous Sono-Fenton process with goethite deposited onto silica and calcite sand [PDF]
The degradation of Reactive Red 120 dye (RR-120) in synthetic waters was studied. Two processes were considered: homogeneous sono-Fenton with iron(II) sulfate and heterogeneous sono-Fenton with synthetic goethite and goethite deposited onto silica and ...

Decolorisation of Reactive Red 120 Dye by Using Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes in Aqueous Solutions
Dyes are one of the most hazardous chemical compound classes found in industrial effluents and need to be treated since their presence in water bodies reduces light penetration, precluding the photosynthesis of aqueous flora. In the present study, single-

Modeling the removal of Reactive Red 120 dye from aqueous effluents by activated carbon [PDF]
Abstract The adsorption isotherms of Reactive Red 120 (RR-120) on Brazilian pine-fruit shell activated carbon, at six temperatures (298, 303, 308, 313, 318 and 323 K) and pH = 6, were determined and interpreted using a double layer model with one energy. A statistical physics treatment established the formulation of this model.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
