Stratification in Nuclear Reactor Components
Thermal Science of Advanced Steam Generators/Heat Exchangers, 1996Abstract Several experiments have recorded loop stratification at a recent test performed at the Rig of Safety Assessment (ROSA) project at the Japanese Atomic Energy Research Institute’s Large Scale Test. This facilty (LSTF) is used for for the advanced nuclear reactor AP600 simulation.

Radiation Qualification of Nuclear Reactor Components
Nuclear Technology, 1977Equipment used in nuclear power reactors requires qualification to environments expected under both postulated accident and aging conditions. Proper simulation of the radiation environments requires a knowledge of the reactor radiation fields as well as an understanding of the physical mechanisms of radiation effects, including dose-rate effects, total

A single-component fuel cell reactor
International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 2011Abstract We report here a single-component reactor consisting of a mixed ionic and semi-conducting material exhibiting hydrogen-air (oxygen) fuel cell reactions. The new single-component device was compared to a conventional three-component (anode/electrolyte/cathode) fuel cell showing at least as good performance.

Profiling a reactor component using ultrasonics
1993 IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference, 1995Nuclear reactors have many components within the reactor vessel. During the life of a reactor it is possible for these components to be displaced or deformed because of the thermal cycles to which they are subject. Also, these components are handled during refuellings and reconfigurations of the core.
