Reliability analysis of nuclear safety-class DCS based on T-S fuzzy fault tree and Bayesian network

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology, 2023
The safety-class (1E) digital control system (DCS) of nuclear power plant characterized structural multiple redundancies, therefore, it is important to quantitatively evaluate the reliability of DCS in different degree of backup loss.

Chemically Fueled Systems Chemistry Across Length Scales

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Chemically fueled reaction cycles regulate processes through single and multiple catalytic sites on the molecular and assembly scale. This gives rise to unique kinetically controlled properties/functions like spatio‐temporal catalysis, oscillations, optical properties, and perform work.

Si‐Doped Nanocrystalline Diamond as Highly Sensitive Luminescence Thermometer for the Physiological Temperature Range

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, diamonds with negative charged silicon‐vacancy (SiV−) centers have been designed for use as thermometers in biomedical applications. Multiparametric analysis of the emission characteristics of the SiV− centers provides extraordinary sensitivity for temperature detection in the physiological temperature range.
