MOF‐Derived Cu‐TiO2/Alginate Micromotors for Buoyancy‐Regulated 3D Motion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, cyanobacteria‐inspired sodium alginate (SA)/Cu‐TiO2/Fe3O4 hydrogel micromotors generate and encapsulate O2 microvesicles upon light irradiation, enabling buoyancy‐mediated Z‐axis upward migration and surface enrichment at the light‐exposed water‐air surface.

Strong Metal‐Support Interaction Driven Janus Reconstruction in PtRu Alloys for Low‐Temperature Hydrogen Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Strong metal‐support interactions (SMSI) drive the spontaneous segregation of RuPt alloy into Janus nanoparticles on CeO2, spatially partitioning Pt‐rich domains for H2 dissociation and Ru‐rich domains for toluene adsorption. This Janus nanocatalysts yield a turnover frequency of 10 906 h−1 for toluene hydrogenation at 50 °C, which is 6.7 times that of

NbN Broadband Plasmonic Absorbers for Efficient Hot‐Carrier Injection Toward Improved Solar‐to‐Hydrogen Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Niobium nitride (NbN) broadband plasmonic metasurface absorbers provide an efficient platform for solar‐energy conversion through hot‐carrier injection. Quasi‐epitaxial NbN features a low work function of 4.0 eV, reducing the interfacial injection barrier and facilitating charge transfer into adjacent photocatalysts.

Thermochemical Core–Shell Architecturing of Si‐SWCNT Composites for High‐Performance Li‐Ion Battery Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A thermochemically engineered core–shell Si architecture is developed through the controlled evolution of a SWCNT‐coated Mg2Si precursor. The process simultaneously generates a nanoporous Si shell for strain accommodation and Li+ transport, a chemically anchored SiC interfacial layer for robust mechanical and electrical coupling, and a Mg‐containing Si

Nickel Intercalation in Epitaxial Graphene on SiC(0001): A Novel Platform for Engineering Two‐Dimensional Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ni‐intercalated graphene on SiC is achieved through a scalable colloidal nanoparticle deposition route. 2D heterostructures show preserved graphene band structure, stable under ambient conditions, and robust interfacial magnetism. Intercalated 2D Ni represents a promising candidate for next‐generation spintronic devices and is a scalable pathway to ...
