Rotating reactors – A review

Chemical Engineering Research and Design, 2013
This review-perspective paper describes the current state-of-the-art in the field of rotating reactors. The paper has a focus on rotating reactor technology with applications at lab scale, pilot scale and industrial scale. Rotating reactors are classified and discussed according to their geometry: stirred tanks, tubes, discs and miscellaneous reactors.

Update on reactors and reactor instruments in Asia

Physica B: Condensed Matter, 1991
Abstract The 1980s have seen the commissioning of several medium flux (∼10 14 neutrons/cm 2 s) research reactors in Asia. The reactors are based on indigenous design and development in India and China. At Dhruva reactor (India), a variety of neutron spectrometers have been established that have provided useful data related to the structure of high ...

Reactors for Fluid-Fluid Reactions: Loop Reactors

Various types of loop reactors are presented, which can be operated in single-, two-, or multiphase modes. The fluid dynamic laws for the design of the reactors are communicated. The focus is on the jet loop, which is frequently used in reaction technology.

Fast reactors and the reactor development program

Physics Bulletin, 1964
It is a great pleasure to me to come on this occasion, which is the first Conference arranged by a professional society in Caithness. I am grateful to The Institute of Physics and The Physical Society for inviting me. Here in Caithness the greatest atomic interest must centre on the fast reactor development at Dounreay.

Reactor Dosimetry and Nuclear Reactor Regulation

1989
An important function of reactor dosimetry is the verification of fluence values used in the calculation of pressure vessel embrittlement and its impact on (a) the fracture toughness requirements for protection against pressurized thermal shock (Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations [CFR], Part 50.61) and (b) the pressure-temperature operating limits ...
