Paintings and sculptures after the ready-made

open access: yes, 2021
A minha poética desdobra-se a partir da pintura, mas avança com o desenvolvimento escultórico do suporte. Esta pesquisa estabelece uma estrutura interpretativa adequada para tal prática: partindo da concepção da arte como atividade mental que interroga a

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Effect of a sports mouthguard on the functional range of motion of the spine and the upper body posture in taekwondo

open access: yesBMC Sports Science, Medicine and Rehabilitation, 2021
Background The aim is to investigate to what extent the different oral protections compared to the habitual occlusion affect the upper body posture in statics and during taekwondo-specific movement.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

studying the functional characteristics of the outwear textile produced by various weaving technics

open access: yesJournal of Architecture, Art & Humanistic Science, 2018
The study of the change in the shape of textiles in turn leads to a rigorous study of the structural compositions of the fabrics using geometric methods for the establishment of mathematical relations between structural installation agents on the one ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Creative Visions for Fashion Design by Using Knots Techniques

open access: yesMaǧallaẗ Al-Turāṯ wa Al-Taṣmīm
Design is the effective element through which the designer can create and innovate, as he relies on creativity in addition to his studies and experiences in his work field, as well as on a variety of sources which he can derive and inspired by ideas that

INSURANCE OF KNITTED PRODUCTS QUALITY THROUGH THE ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF NON-QUALITY DURING ASSEMBLY BY STITCHING [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Oradea: Fascicle of Textiles, Leatherwork, 2014
In a knitting factory, any activity oriented toward evaluation, maintenance or improvement of products quality level is based on measuring and examining the product quality characteristics, in order to establish conformity to the quality specifications ...

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.
