Lessons Learned: Quality Analysis of Optical Coherence Tomography in Neuromyelitis Optica

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Optical coherence tomography (OCT)‐derived retina measurements are markers for neuroaxonal visual pathway status. High‐quality OCT scans are essential for reliable measurements, but their acquisition is particularly challenging in eyes with severe visual impairment, as often observed in neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders ...

Alternating real-time computations

Information Processing Letters, 1988
The effect of the number of work tapes on computational power of real- time Turing machines is considered. Well known results state that k tapes are better than k-1 tapes in the case of deterministic machines and, for nondeterministic ones, two tapes are as good as many tapes.

Real-time distributed computing

Proceedings of the Fifth IEEE Computer Society Workshop on Future Trends of Distributed Computing Systems, 2002
This position paper concerns itself with real-time safety critical distributed systems. It presents a computational model that is appropriate for this type of application and architecture. It then defines a resource allocations scheme based upon fixed priority scheduling.

Real-Time Computation and Recursive Functions Not Real-Time Computable

IEEE Transactions on Electronic Computers, 1962
As an attempt to investigate a general theory of real-time computability in digital computers, a subclass of Turing machines is formally introduced together with some classes of functions that are computable by them in real time. Then the existence is established of a class of recursive functions that are not computable in real time by use of a class ...
