AIoT-Based Smart Bin for Real-Time Monitoring and Management of Solid Waste

open access: yesScientific Programming, 2020
In the current time, the immense growth in population creates unhygienic environment for the citizen of a society with respect to waste generation. This rapid generation of waste leads to various infectious diseases in the environment. As followed by the

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Extending remote patient monitoring with mobile real time clinical decision support [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Large scale implementation of telemedicine services such as telemonitoring and teletreatment will generate huge amounts of clinical data. Even small amounts of data from continuous patient monitoring cannot be scrutinised in real time and round the clock

Real-time, in situ monitoring of surface reactions during plasma passivation of GaAs [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Real-time, in situ observations of surface chemistry during the remote plasma passivation of GaAs is reported herein. Using attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, the relative concentrations of -As-O, -As-H, -H2O, and -CH2 ...

A Mathematical Model toward Real-Time Monitoring of Automotive PEM Fuel Cells

open access: yesJournal of the Electrochemical Society, 2020
A computationally efficient model toward real-time monitoring of automotive polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell stacks is developed. Computational efficiency is achieved by spatio-temporal decoupling of the problem, developing a new reduced ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Analysis of Fatigue Monitoring of Deepwater Drilling Riser

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2017
The riser is the key equipment for deepwater drilling, which is prone to fatigue damage in harsh deepwater environment, so it is very important to monitor the fatigue of deepwater riser.
