The Geometry of Locally Bounded Rational Functions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This paper develops the geometry of locally bounded rational functions on non-singular real algebraic varieties. First various basic geometric and algebraic results regarding these functions are established in any dimension, culminating with a version of {\L}ojasiewicz's inequality.

Design of a Tracking Controller Based on Machine Learning

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Tracking control of multibody systems is a challenging task requiring detailed modeling and control expertise. Especially in the case of closed‐loop mechanisms, inverse kinematics as part of the controller may become a game stopper due to the extensive calculations required for solving nonlinear equations and inverting complicated functions ...

Multi‐Slit Diffraction in Scaled Space‐Time

open access: yesNatural Sciences, EarlyView.
A space‐time scaling is used to transform quantum wave packets describing free particle motion to packets moving in an effective harmonic oscillator potential that confines and directs the wave fronts along the classical phase space of the oscillator. The transformation is applied to multi‐slit diffraction and shown to characterize diffraction features

Early Adolescent Cyberbullying Victimization, Learning Readiness, and Academic Achievement Among South Australian Students

open access: yesPsychology in the Schools, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cyberbullying is an increasingly researched topic in the field of adolescence, largely due to its pervasiveness and negative wellbeing outcomes for victims. However, existing literature in this area largely focuses on those aged above 13 years, despite evidence suggesting that early adolescents (ages 10–13) also experience victimization ...

Filtration enlargement‐based time series forecast in view of insider trading

open access: yesJournal of Economic Surveys, Volume 37, Issue 1, Page 112-140, February 2023., 2023
Abstract This survey reviews filtration enlargement models in view of insider trading. Although filtration enlargement aptly models insiders' informational advantage, the theoretical results have not attracted the attention of the empiricists, owing mainly to the lack of a bridge transforming the results to testable hypotheses, and/or the absence of ...
