A Pt‐lean alloy catalyst encapsulated within an ultrathin carbon shell is developed via an anti‐aggregation and surface rearrangement strategy. CO‐induced Pt segregation enriches surface Pt, boosting hydrogen oxidation reaction activity, while the carbon shell provides nano‐confinement to suppress particle aggregation.

Visible light activation has been explored for low‐temperature operation, prevention of material degradation, and safe gas sensing. A finely tuned type‐I band junction within the In2S3‐In2O3 heterostructure promotes efficient transfer of photogenerated excitons to the In2S3 surface, thereby maximizing surface reactivity under blue light illumination ...

Abstract The Geospace Dynamics Constellation (GDC) mission aims to investigate the dynamic coupling between the magnetosphere, ionosphere, and thermosphere by resolving key spatiotemporal processes at scales ranging from local to global. A key aspect is GDC's ability to reconstruct hemispheric‐scale high‐latitude electrodynamics with comprehensive ...

On-road vehicle emissions measurements show a significant reduction in black carbon and nitrogen oxide emissions in Euro 6c and 6d diesel-powered cars [PDF]
Real-world vehicle emissions measurement methods were developed to bridge the gap between laboratory tests and actual on-road emissions, including the variability in vehicles, drivers, and environmental conditions.

An assessment of the real-world driving gaseous emissions from a Euro 6 light-duty diesel vehicle using a portable emissions measurement system (PEMS) [PDF]
[EN] Recent investigations demonstrated that real-world emissions usually exceed the levels achieved in the laboratory based type approval processes. By means of on-board emissions measurements, it has been shown that nitrogen oxides emitted by diesel ...

Testing and evaluating real driving emissions with PEMS [PDF]
Testing of real driving emissions (RDE) with portable emission measuring system (PEMS) in an appropriate road circuit became an obligatory element of new type approval of passenger cars since September 2017. In several projects the Laboratory for Exhaust

Optimisation of driving-parameters and emissions of a diesel-vehicle using principal component analysis (PCA) [PDF]
Light-duty diesel vehicles contribute significantly to urban air pollution. Laboratory-based standard driving test cycles do not take into account external driving factors, which greatly impact the vehicle emissions compared to the real-world driving ...

Comparison of Tailpipe Gaseous Emissions for RDE and WLTC Using SI Passenger Cars [PDF]
The drive characteristics and gaseous emissions of legislated Real Driving Emissions (RDE) test data from 8 different spark ignition vehicles were compared to data from corresponding Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Test Cycle (WLTC) tests. The effect
