Emission inventories and modeling requirements for the development of air quality plans. Application to Madrid (Spain) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Modeling is an essential tool for the development of atmospheric emission abatement measures and air quality plans. Most often these plans are related to urban environments with high emission density and population exposure. However, air quality modeling

Constructing Emission-Intensive Driving Cycles for an Extended-Range Electric Vehicle via Dynamic Programming Guided by Real-World Trip Dynamics and Road Terrain

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Reproducing severe emission driving scenarios on a chassis dynamometer enables the systematic calibration of real driving emissions (RDE) under laboratory conditions.

Sub-23 nm Particle Emissions from China-6 GDI Vehicle: Impacts of Drive Cycle and Ambient Temperature

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2022
Both the EU and China are evaluating the feasibility of lowering the detection limit of particle number (PN) measurement to 10 nm in future legislations, making it necessary to better understand the sub-23 nm particle emission characteristics from state ...

Modulating the Charge Transfer Channels via Constructing Charge‐Assisted Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Frameworks for Enhanced Photosynthesis of Hydrogen Peroxide

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reports a strategy of engineering charge‐assisted hydrogen bonds to tailor charge transfer channels in HOFs, significantly improving their performance in photocatalytic H2O2 production. ABSTRACT The production of H2O2 via artificial photosynthesis is often limited by inefficient charge‐carrier separation, causing significant charge ...

Exhaust Emissions from Euro 6 Vehicles in WLTC and RDE—Part 2: Verification by Experimental Measurement

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
The subject of assessing exhaust emissions in real driving conditions has been relevant for a long time. Its introduction into approval tests focused attention on the comparative possibilities of tests performed on a chassis dynamometer and in road ...

Determining the route for the purpose light vehicles testing in Real Driving Emissions (RDE) test

open access: yesCombustion Engines, 2019
In the regulations concerning approval of light vehicles starting from September 2019 it will be necessary to conduct exhaust emis-sions tests both on a chassis dynamometer and for real driving emissions. It is a legislative requirement set forth in EU regulations for the purpose of the RDE (Real Driving Emissions) procedure. To decide on the RDE route

Selective Electrolysis of Water Under Artificial Seawater Conditions Using Transition Metal Borate Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The borate‐based cobalt‐iron catalyst promotes selective oxidation of water rather than chlorine evolution reaction during electrolysis of seawater. When integrated into a zero‐gap electrolyzer prototype, this catalyst supports robust splitting of artificial seawater into oxygen and hydrogen on an extended timescale.

In Service CO2 and NOX Emissions of Euro 6/VI Cars, Light- and Heavy- dutygoods Vehicles in Real London driving: Taking the Road into the Laboratory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Driving on-the-road has more frequent and prompt acceleration/decelerations than in the type-approval light-duty test conditions (NEDC), with Real Driving Emissions (RDE) of CO2 and NOX known to be considerably higher.
