A study on the determinants of the real exchange rate misalignments
ABSTRACT Departing from the literature that established a positive relation between exchange rate undervaluation and economic growth, this paper explores the causes of persistent undervaluation (or overvaluation) of the exchange rate. We first discuss the variables that could explain persistent misalignment of the real exchange rate on a theoretical ...

Yuan Real Exchange Rate Undervaluation, 1997-2006. How Much, How Often? Not Much, Not Often [PDF]
Yuan real effective exchange rate misalignment is esitimated in a behavioral equilibrium exchange rate (BEER) model for the period 1997 to third quarter 2007. Using the Beveridge-Nelson decomposition a vector error correction model (VECM) of the exchange

Decoupled Spin Hall Voltage Readout for Domain‐Wall Synapses in Embedded Neuromorphic Computing
Magnetic domain‐wall synapses provide nonvolatile multilevel states with linear, symmetric weight updates, making them attractive for neuromorphic hardware. However, DW MTJ readout has magnetoresistance‐limited dynamic range, while anomalous‐Hall readout suffers from weak voltage output and read/write coupling.

Non-Linear Effects of REER Misalignment on Banking Stability: New Evidence from Emerging Countries
This paper examines the impact of real effective exchange rate (REER) misalignment on banking stability, while emphasizing the moderating effect of institutional quality. We also aim to investigate the non-linearity of this relationship. Based on a panel

Real exchange rate misalignment and economic performance in Namibia
This paper estimates the real exchange rate misalignment and investigates its impact on economic performance and competitiveness of Namibia for the period 1970 to 2011 using cointegrated vector autoregression methods. The results show that there were periods of overvaluation and undervaluation of the real exchange rate.

Impact of real and nominal factors on long run equilibrium in Real Effective Exchange Rate (REER) in Pakistan [PDF]
In this paper, we focused on the hypothesis that nominal shocks such as monetary policy have only temporary impact on long run equilibrium real exchange rate and the consequent misalignment. To do so we utilized two approaches to tackle this issue.

Autonomous Charging and Battery Swapping for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles: A Review
This review evaluates major autonomous charging and battery swapping methods for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against a single question: how close each is to sustained unattended operation. Rather than ranking them by charging performance, it identifies the limitation that most restricts each method, and briefly outlines the supporting technologies ...

Exchange Rate Misalignment and Growth: Old and New Econometric Evidence [PDF]
Several studies have tried to identify the relationship between growth and misaligned or overvalued currencies. Many works (Easterly (2001) and Fajnzylber et alii (2002)), find negative correlations between exchange rate misalignment and growth for a ...
