Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

An efficient method for modeling and evaluating the bench terrain of open-pit mines

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
In order to quantitatively analyze the roughness of the bench floor during open-pit mine blasting, this study proposes a real-time measuring method for the three-dimensional terrain of the bench floor during the excavation process.

Fractional smoothness and applications in Finance [PDF]

open access: yes
This overview article concerns the notion of fractional smoothness of random variables of the form $g(X_T)$, where $X=(X_t)_{t\in [0,T]}$ is a certain diffusion process.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Interpolating Electron Diffusion Coefficients in Earth's Radiation Belts: A Neural Network Model Inspired by Video Frame Interpolation

open access: yesSpace Weather
Many numerical models have been built to uncover the physical mechanisms governing radiation belt dynamics and enable real‐time forecasting. The diffusion coefficient, as a critical input for these models, is usually obtained through linear interpolation

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Weighted Lagrange and Hermite–Fejér interpolation on the real line

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 1997
For a wide class of weights, a systematic investigation of the convergence-divergence behavior of Lagrange interpolation is initiated. A system of nodes with optimal Lebesgue constant is found, and for Hermite weights an exact lower estimate of the norm

Spatial Interpolation of GNSS Troposphere Wet Delay by a Newly Designed Artificial Neural Network Model

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals arrive at the Earth in a nonlinear and slightly curved way due to the refraction effect caused by the troposphere. The troposphere delay of the GNSS signal consists of hydrostatic and wet parts.

FGFR Like1 drives esophageal cancer progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and notch signalling: insights from clinical data and next‐generation sequencing analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.
